Just to define my terms first, LOL Laugh Out Loud.
More and more I see people using this term in email and texting. While in the beginning it used to mean Laugh I would suggest it now means I just said something that was mean, stupid or insulting and I am going to follow it up with LOL and of course a :) that way you shouldn't be upset.
Well, I am not laughing neither should you.
