Under attack

even though you are doing the right thing? I have seen it time and time again. People who look for the worst assume you are doing bad. However you are looking out for the best interests?

I have a quote for you today

To quote Albert Einstein, “Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.”

Checking out at the store

All this computer gadgetry, multiple lanes and even self checkout and yet, this continues to be the slowest part of the visit.

Do you have a "Fill in the Blank" card
Do you want a "Fill in the blank" card
how was our service?
Did you find everything?

All said without expression and most of the time without care.

I know we have the ability to put sensors in the product and have it automatically calculate your total and then debit your account. Get that going and I will for sure apply for your "Fill in the blank" card.

Lets use some of that technology for a great use. Would you shop at this place if it reduced your checkout time to almost 0? I would, I would probably pay a little more so I could spend more of my time doing what I want instead of in line!

I would like to upgrade that chance to

100%

Jenifer pays attention!

It is going to

"Rain" This is what Jenifer says when there is a 30% chance of rain.

Forecasting is an important part of sales. Whether it be for cash flow, scheduling, or financials. Yet many sales reps use the same forecast techniques as my wife when it comes to projecting dollars. They think a 30% chance means it is going to happen.

Now sometimes even the national weather service says 100% chance and it does not rain. So forecasting is just this, an educated guess. However it is important to use the same gauge (Rain gauge HA) in measuring the forecast.

Anyway, it is looking like a wet week here in KS. There is a 30% chance of rain most (UH more than 30% of the days so all) this week.

PS I am forecasting Jenifer talking to me about this post! 90% chance!

Warts anyone!

Adding a link Robin Robins

I have done a couple of conference calls and webinars with Robin Robins lately and have been impressed.

First of all, I want to send out a thanks to Ted Hulsey, the head of Sonicwall's marketing (Sorry Ted, I am sure you have a really cool title) He connected me with Robin and got me a virtual seat at Robins recent conference. (Unfortunately I could not attend in person due to all the traveling in April)

Anyway, I have made it through all the content from that event and it is not only benificial, it is also different! Different in that I learned many things. Concepts, thoughts and ways of doing business that I have not seen before. You will probably get a glimpse into some of these takeaways over the next couple of weeks.

So, I have been invited back to do another event with Robin. I must be doing somthing right otherwise I would not get the invite. The first event we did had hundreds of people attending with questions that would have gone on forever if it was not for a time limit.

I am adding a link to Robins Blog today. Check it out, good information!
