Another good site!

Have you ever needed to share you Outlook Calendar with another to have them know when your available. For meetings, calls or other? I saw the solution on Kevin from SonicWALL's signature. It is Tungle

Thanks Kevin, you did not even know you helped!

A great meeting today and some amazing food.

Rarely do I have a meal that is outstanding! We had a PEER1 meeting today at Napolis in Hays. I believe I spelled that right.

Anyway, I ordered the Napolis Special (A every day menu item) It was outstanding. First starting with fresh baked bread. Then a fresh salad. And then some pasta with chicken, sausage and some type of sauce that was unbelieveable. I would recommend this any time.

Next time you have a chance to go there tell them I sent you!

Maybe we can get a guest blogger?

So Loren my good friend of many years purchased a Motorola Xoom today. My initial impressions are very good. Some quick things over the iPad?

Standard USB cable versus the Apple specific cable
Flash card to expand storage (Not exactly sure if it works yet)
The 16:10 screen is bright and easy to use
Android 3.0 looks nice and easy to use
Works well if you have an Android phone
No Apple jail.

Concerns?
Still like the 4:3 screen of the iPad
what is the battery like? Do not know
3.0 apps? How many?

Anyway, it is the first competitor that is really is a competitor. We will see. And maybe Loren will give us an update on his indepth trials and then some updates?

The year of the Tablet? Not so far!

With over 200 models shown at CES I would have thought by now several would have started showing up.

Eliminating all the 7 inch versions (I have now had a chance to spend a little time with and it is NOT the right form factor. I will save that for a future post) this leaves us with one choice.

The Motorola Xoom running Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) While it is not 4:3 rather it is 16:9 the form factor is at least close. However I do know a couple of people that have experience with this device and their statement is that it has several bugs, locks up a bit. I would think that this may be true due to the fact it is the first high production model of 3.0. I am sure that they will resolve these issues. With its cost similar to the iPad, why not wait till it is baked!

The real question is, where is everyone else? HP has its new unit coming summer, Blackberry comes in 7 inch, Viewsonic has the 7 inch. Lots of 2.2 Android devices out. Apple has had the iPad out for over a year and has released version 2. They have such a head start, will anyone challenge?

PS I still love the iPad.
