These are just daily thoughts I have on the industry and processes. As a bonus you get some personal stories experience and others that may not be related to anything!

Only in Kansas
Can you golf 18 holes in the morning at 61 degrees then have to shovel the driveway that evening. We always have the spring snowstorm keeping us from thinking winter is over. This year it was particularly crule with the high temperatures then the snow. What is worse is that we could have more to come.

Poker at the lake house
Nothing is more relaxing than snow or rain at the lake house. It cannot get any more quiet.

Time change
Why is it that 1 hour makes such a difference. The day seems to go faster however the night does too.

Apprentice
Yea, in addition to Undercover Boss, I watch the Celebrity Apprentice. To be honest, I do not really know many of the weomen playing this year. Sure, Cindy Lauper and Osborne. Yet, I do know most of the men.
One stands out in the group, Rod Blagojevich, yes, I had to look up how to spell this. I know he had been charged with pretty much everything having to do with corruption. So what is the impression? Well, not so good. He comes off STRONG as a politician, not real knowledgeable and wanting to talk about himself all the time. He also spent quite a bit of time defending his reputation. My first instinct is to say that if you spend a lot of time defending yourself, you are guilty. We will see how next week goes.

Undercover Boss Churchill Downs
Not as interesting this week. I did learn how large of a company they are. When you think of Churchill Downs, you think of one location. In reality they have many locations.
They did do some silly things. Such as Bill Carstanjen going to learn to play the horn in just a few minutes. Of course it sounded like just a few minutes.
I did appreciate that Churchhill Downs is using the exposure on the show to their advantage (As it should be) Note their web page http://www.churchilldowns.com/ I would have never gone there without the TV show.
I also found it strage that the CEO would not know anything about horses when this has a large amount to do with the business. I would think it would be very important to at least understand the basics of the business.
The show was still entertaining and look forward to the next episode.

Carsen's Big Day
Carsen turns 4 today. He is really coming into his own.
Rock Star (Playing guitar, drums and knows the words)
Baseball Player (Probably hit as hard as kids twice his age)
Trouble (Always in the middle of it. Especially good at pushing his brothers buttons)
The look (Who ME?)
Peanuts (Yep, Snoopy)
It will be a great year watching him grow up.
